how the magic happened

HEY, I'M STEVE

I’ve never really been the one to put myself first.  But, here we are at the top of the “About me” page forced to tell my story, another thing that I don’t tend to do a lot of.  Truth is, my favorite part of what I do is telling other people’s stories.

That’s the strange culmination that is me.  A soft spoken Italian from “New Joisey”, captain of his high school baseball team yet the least likely to wear his letterman jacket and class ring to his 10 year reunion.  Those two sentences may cover everything you’d need to know about me. I hate jazz (and jazz fusion even more), but that’s the genre I’m most often associated with because I tend to blend in.  But isn’t that the point? It’s not supposed to be about me; and believe me I like it that way. I love to be the observer of all your nuances and the way you hang with your friends before you need to strike a pose walking down the aisle. It’s incredible to see a story unfold right in front of your eyes.  It’s even more incredible to tell it.

I decided to start the process of creating Bucketlist Films in early 2019. It started with the core idea of creating a company with a team that was passionate about the details, adventure, and people. One of the first to join the team was my partner, Ally. After meeting at Ben & Jerry’s in high school, we knew we worked great together. We left that job and decided to work in a restaurant for the following two years. There’s a lot you can learn from the hospitality industry. We picked up skillsets that allowed us to better serve our clients, learning to read each couple and cater to their unique needs and requests. We knew in the long run, we wanted to work together, with enough flexibility to travel and accomplish our own bucket list.

MEET ALLY

So, this is Ally. Besides being my best friend, avid dog lover, and muse, she has a unique set of qualities that she brings to the team. Currently, she’s a vet tech in an emergency hospital. Her main role as our content planner, she helps visualize the storyline on the day of the wedding and post-editing, bringing fresh ideas and perspective. Naturally nurturing, she has an incredibly strong “mom” gene. She values the beauty in details. As one of my second shooters, someone who films from a different perspective, she focuses on sentiment and the subtleties. It could be the way the bride looks at her partner’s hand as he or she grabs it, moments we only experience once now timeless. The special day can get hectic and any couple with Ally at their wedding will be in great hands knowing she’ll go above and beyond the scopes of film.

MEET MILES

Anything plus a dog has Ally’s attention. So it could be safe to assume we’d own one of our very own. Meet Miles, she brought him home one day, and the rest was history. He’s the CEO of his own company, @mileswaypetservices. Being his paw-rents has taught us a lot. He’s given us huge lessons in unconditional love, patience, and reward. He’s actually a pretty cool dude considering he has more followers than both of us. Now on to the rest of the team!

MEET FRED

Fred’s love for travel has led him to over thirty countries, chasing the next adrenaline rush all while documenting his experiences. Buying his first drone in 2015, his favorite form of photography and videography is aerial. Originally from NJ, he now works in New York as a marketing engineer and builds his own FPV racing drones. I’m pretty sure he’ll try anything once, considering he’s scuba dived cageless with Bull sharks (3rd most dangerous shark in the world) and was almost lost at sea in the Philippines. He thinks outside of the box and his creativity pushes the limits.

Fun fact: he and I are getting certified in skydiving.

MEET SAM

I spent the last few months working diligently to bring together a team that will truly make an impact throughout the video industry. Together we plan to create content for humans, films that move you, make you feel something. Wanting to offer you the best service possible, we plan to stick to what we do best.

We partnered with an amazing individual, Sam from Mountain Peak Studios. She’s an adventure-seeking, pupper-loving, visionary. With a deep passion for humanity, it’s definitely my pleasure to recommend her to any and all of our clients. Let her know, we sent you her way!
